Arachnoidiscus
Diatoms (Class Bacillariophyceae) are tiny single-celled photosynthetic that are found anywhere there is water – in the oceans, in lakes and rivers, in puddles and even on wet films on leaves. They often have highly ornamented silica cell walls that make them a favourite among microscopists. Despite their small size, they are numerous and have been estimated to account for nearly 20% of the biosphere’s photosynthetic carbon fixation.
Linocut print on 220 gsm acid-free Fabriano Rosaspina paper. Limited edition of 40.
Paper size is 340 x 500 mm. Print area is 275 x 355 mm.
