‘I finally fixed your puncture and took you for a bike ride is the last poem in Maria McMillan’s collection The Ski Flier (Victoria University Press, 2017).
I really like this typeface, especially the fi ligatures in the heading, but, with its unusual g, I’ve never been able to figure out exactly which typeface. I collected many unlabeled type in the 90s, when they were affordable, and Im managed to get there before the antique dealers who often chucked the type and sold the trays.
Maria, the poet, is my partner and I love the images in her poem, and that it talks to achievement and finesse, parenting and childhood.
