Hymenophyllum nephrophyllum (Kidney fern)

A distinctive small fern of endemic to New Zealand. Kidney ferns were previously called Trichomanes reniforme (and also Cardiomanes reniforme), reflecting different taxonomic decisions. DNA evidence now places the species in Hymenophyllum, with the delicate filmy ferns. This is a limited edition of 40 numbered prints, hand printed in three colours from lino with letterpress captions, on Japanese kitakata (Gampi fibre) paper.

The paper size 240 x 370 mm and the print area is 220 x 130 mm.
